Bob has dabbled in Photography for most of his life, starting out with his parent’s Pentax MX. In college he took a couple of photography classes while pursuing a Computer Science degree.
Film has always had an attraction, partly due to the more methodical nature of it, and partly due to the near mad-science of the darkroom. Black and white in particular showed him how to see in form and frame.
With the advent of digital photography, Bob became interested in what could be done with the digital format, that was more difficult with film. With his background in computers and programming, he quickly became interested in stitching photographs together into panoramas, much larger than the sensor of the camera itself.
Further developments lead to making time-lapse videos from individual frames, which lead to making composites of a series of photos, selecting the brightest pixels. The result created images with extruded paint-brush strokes from clouds and whirling arcs of stars.
Jumping into a body form class in Boulder, CO, Bob has been exploring the shape and texture of the human body for ten years. As a nudist himself, Bob seeks to find the beauty in every body.
